PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
Dear Families,
New playground
The new playground equipment in the undercover area of our courtyard is getting plenty of use, even with the recent wet weather. It is wonderful to see children of all ages using this space safely together in the mornings before school. With the courtyard providing so many options, we will ask students to use only this area for before school play. This will enable us to provide adequate supervision during this time.
Book Week
The Book Fair was a huge success and allowed us to buy some much-needed new books for our library. Thanks to Katie for all of her hard work in organising and running the fair. Thank you also to all of the families who came along to our Book Week assembly. We had a wide range of presentations ranging from a filmed interview with Dr Suess through to artwork inspired by a favourite book. It was also lovely to have our kinder students joining us at an assembly for the first time and they were perfect audience members!
Combined Schools’ Sports
Recently a number of our grade 5 and 6 students tried out for combined schools team in a range of sports. It takes great courage to put yourself forward for something like this and to ‘have a go’ so well done to James, Bonnie, Paige, Ebonie, Olivia, Bella K, Kate and Natoria. Bonnie and Paige have been selected in the hockey team and Kate in the netball team. Congratulations and good luck to those students.
