Dear Families,
Fair and Fireworks Night
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped to make our fair and fireworks night such an enormous success! Our students were abuzz with excitement for the week leading up to the event and it did not disappoint. Once again, the extended Risdon Vale community came along to support our school and to enjoy an afternoon and evening of stalls, rides and great food. The funds raised will go directly toward equipment and resources for our students both in their classrooms and in the playground.
School Survey
Over the past few weeks, our grades 4,5 and 6 students have been completing the student wellbeing survey which has been designed to provide us with valuable feedback about how our students are feeling about our school and their learning. We would also like to gather some feedback from you. You will have received an invitation in the form of a letter with a login code and address that will link you to the online survey. Please find the time to complete the survey as your feedback is important to us. If you need access to a computer to complete your survey, please see the office staff.
Kinder Enrolments for 2020
We are currently taking enrolments for kinder in 2020. If you have a child born in 2015, please contact the office for an enrolment form and information pack as soon as possible. A reminder that pre-kinder sessions are every Monday afternoon from 1 – 2:30pm with Ms Daly in the kinder room.
Kind Regards,
Rachael Wells
Principal

Grade 1/2 W had a great start to the day with parents joining us for an outdoor scavenger hunt. It was so nice to start the morning outside in the cool fresh air. The task was to find something man made or natural that started with each letter of the alphabet.
From ants to zips, most teams managed to come up with something for each letter (even if some ideas might have been imaginary). Thanks to having adults dotted amongst the class, every child was engaged in the scavenger hunt.
This would be an easy activity to play at home with your children.
Thanks to Ms Weavers, 1/2W and the families who came along to support their children’s learning.
