PRINCIPALS MESSAGE
Dear Families,
Athletics Carnival
Unfortunately we were forced to cancel our school athletic carnival last week due to poor weather. This carnival was due to be held at Clarence High School as our local oval is unavailable this term due to maintenance works. There is significant organisation involved in us utilising another school’s facilities, including coordinating a mutually suitable date and hiring buses to transport children to and from. Due to the logistics, it will not be possible to reschedule the event for this term. The good news is that our oval will be back in operation by early next term and we are hoping to reschedule for then, or if weather does not permit, we will hold our carnival in fourth term. I know it is disappointing and I do appreciate everyone’s understanding of these challenging circumstances.
We were still able to select a team of grade 3 to 6 students who represented our school at the inter-school athletics carnival on Wednesday. They showed incredible courage, sportsmanship and resilience and are very proud of their efforts.
School Association
It was wonderful to see some new faces at our School Association AGM held on Thursday afternoon. The AGM saw us welcome several new parent and staff representatives. Thank you to all of those who attended and put themselves forward for roles. It is so important to have a range of voices being heard when we are discussing and making decisions about the current and future priorities and policies for our school. Meetings will be held once per term with the first of these being held on Tuesday 31st March at 3pm at the school.
