PRINCIPALS MESSAGE
Dear Families,
What a busy term we have had and an even busier final three weeks to come!
Early Childhood Water Orientation
Our prep, grade one and grade two students have just completed a week of water orientation sessions at Oceana. These sessions have provided our students with an opportunity to develop their confidence and skills in the water with the support of qualified instructors. The children have thoroughly enjoyed the program and made so much progress in such a short amount of time. We look forward to continuing to offer this opportunity to our early childhood students in term one and term four next year.
Rewards Day
Our students who consistently display our school values of ‘Safe, Fair, Care’ will be recognised again this term. On Wednesday 11th December, these children will be invited to participate in an ‘inflatable maze run’ with their class. Students who have consistently displayed our school values throughout the whole year (no white slips) will be presented with a special certificate at the end of the year.
End of Year Assemblies and Events
The final week of term will see us host a number of important events which families a warmly invited to attend. Our 3/4 and 5/6 classes will have their Christmas assembly on Monday 16th December starting at 1:30pm. Classes will be presenting a Christmas item along with our choir, recorder and marimba groups. Our prep and 1/2 classes will have their turn at the same time on Tuesday 17th. On Wednesday 18th, our School Association will be cooking a barbecue lunch for all of our students (no cost) and we are expecting a special visit from Santa. On Thursday 19th, we will host our official End-of-Year assembly. This assembly is a more formal event with the presentation of certificates for excellence. Our signing choir and dance group will be performing and the assembly will conclude with our grade six group singing a prepared song. We hope to see many of you at one or more of these events.
