Welcome to Risdon Vale Primary School

Risdon Vale Primary School is located in the suburb of Risdon Vale, a natural amphitheatre of green on the Eastern Shore of Hobart, Tasmania. The school was established in 1961 and has a tradition of providing quality government funded education for students Birth to Year 6 from the surrounding community.

Risdon Vale Primary School has a consistent, school-wide approach to ensuring our students are safe, known, well and able to engage in learning.  Our dedicated, collaborative teaching team implement current, evidence-based teaching practices to ensure our students are learning more every day.

We have a proud past and Risdon Vale Primary school continues to look to the future.  Risdon Vale is a growing suburb of new housing and families who, together with our third generation students, have high expectations of us to prepare local children for bright and fulfilling futures well beyond primary school.
